Bull Fight! Warning: Pictures ahead are graphic.

For this entire trip some of us have been talking about how cool it would be to attend a bull fight. Bull fighting is an extremely controversial sport, especially in Barcelona. When we figured out that this spanish pastime will be no more come November of this year, we knew that it was now or never. This past Sunday, a friend on the trip found out that there was a bull fight that very day. He asked the guides if they could possibly buy us tickets and they proceeded to purchase tickets for thirteen of us. Here a couple pictures of this bull fight that I will never forget.

Casa Batlló

Today we visited Casa Batlló, an ordinary house which was renovated by Gaudí in 1904. The house is now known as la Casa del Huessos, the House of Bones. On the top of the roof there is a dragon along with a cross, which represents the sword used by Saint George to defeat the dragon.

Park Güell

Antoni Gaudí, the Spanish Catalan architect famous for basically creating the style of Barcelona, created thousands of pieces in his lifetime. This park shows off many of Gaudí's amazing works of art.

Based off of Hansel and Grettel...can you tell which one is the witches house?

Numero Uno

I woke up this morning to the sites of bustling Barcelona. Cars speeding by outside my window. A couple people talking on the street. A noisy dog barking. But then I got out of my bed. Instantly it hit me. Before I got my 9 hours of sleep, I spent 35 straight hours (all awake) traveling across the sea, exploring the neighborhood with newfound bestfriends, and eating great pasta and pizza all in this amazing city that I now call home for an entire month. Our group is fantastic; everyone is so outgoing and nice. Even after a day it already feels like one big family.
Here are a couple pictures of my spacious room.
